Eisenbergs Skatepark 20th Anniversary Reunion

If you grew up in the Dallas area, chances are you skated Eisenbergs. Whether you're a wood pusher, a fruit booter, or a chain yanker, most of us harbor some sort of nostalgia for the now deceased park. Eisenbergs closed its doors in 2012 and had an amazing 15 year run. Now, there sits uninspiring apartment blocks in its space.

Eisenberg's was the first place I saw a non-secular band live. It was the first place I ollied a 9 stair and where I did my first handrail successfully. It was also the first place I had ever been called a "gay wad" for pointing out that another skater and I had the same deck. (It wouldn't be the last.) Great times all around.

I write all of this to say that I was ecstatic to hear that there will be an Eisenberg's Reunion tomorrow at Allen Skatepark! The event runs from July 22nd at 2pm - July 23rd at 10pm. I'll be out there for a little bit. I hope to see everyone there! (Except the kid that called me a gaywad.)  More info on the event below.
